The Memoires of Hiccup Horrendous Haddock III – How to Train Your Dragon
A hero’s guide to Hiccup Horrendous Haddock III…
Make room for a bit of Hiccup in your life, the wonderful creation of author and dragon lover Cressida Cowell. Hiccup is a Viking hero, an excellent swordsman, a dragon whisperer and a skinny little kid with a very un-Viking outlook on dragons. How to Train Your Dragon is the first in an adventure of books that will keep children eagerly awaiting the next.
Beware if you’ve seen the movie, Hiccup’s dragon Toothless isn’t the wonderful stealth dragon of the movie, Toothless here is a little, cheeky and lazy dragon. Nonetheless the books are fantastic, full of heroic deeds done good, brimmed off with a bit of integrity and the value of friendship thrown in for good measure.
Anyhow the most important thing to know to start with is…. what order should I read them in, well follow this and you can’t go much wrong:
1. How to Train Your Dragon 2. How to Be a Pirate 3. How to Speak Dragonese 4. How to Cheat a Dragon’s Curse 5. How to Twist a Dragon’s Tale 6. A Hero’s Guide to Deadly Dragons 7.
